The Eon Contemporary Orchestra (ECO) brings together the vigor and passion of New York City's finest young musicians to champion the music of the 21st century. Composed of exceptional students and young professionals from the nation's best conservatories and university music programs, ECO takes on the repertoire of a multitude of established genres -- from jazz to rock, world to pop, film scores to hip hop -- creating new musical idioms in the process, while forever highlighting the raw emotional power of a symphonic orchestra. ECO embodies virtuosity, versatility, and vivacity, and espouses the creed, "If it sounds good, it is good."
Our Team
Gabriel Lefkowitz, Principal Conductor/Artistic Director
Originally from Newton, MA, Gabriel Lefkowitz is a violinist, composer, and conductor living in Knoxville, TN, where he is the newly appointed concertmaster of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, as well as in New York City, where he is principal conductor/artistic director of the Eon Contemporary Orchestra. Working from his home studio, Gabriel is active as a composer and orchestrator for films and television. www.gabriellefkowitz.com
Dan Teicher, Head Producer/Artistic Director
Dan Teicher is a professional composer, songwriter, arranger, producer, and guitarist. He has composed for film, television, concert halls, and radio. www.danteicher.com

The musicians of ECO come from the nation's top music conservatories and schools, as recent graduates and as current students. Strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion - our musicians, the heart of our ensemble, exemplify creativity, talent, and enthusiasm, tackling each new project with unabashed enthusiasm and dedication.
